University of Wisconsin-Stout begins collaboration with LAUTECH

An agreement to collaborate on research, scholarly activity, student and faculty exchanges and other interactions have been signed between the University of Wisconsin-Stout and the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso.
At the signing of memorandum ceremony in Wisconsin, Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, Professor Adeniyi Gbadegesin and his Chief Executive Officer counterpart at Wisconsin-Stout, Bob Meyer, pledged their commitment to ensuring that the institutions both with twenty five and one hundred and twenty five years experience respectively stand to gain a lot in the newly established partnership.
While Meyer observed that “we are so pleased to enter into this agreement with you”, he added that it will be a fantastic opportunity for UW-Stout’s students and faculty and staff.
Gbadegesin on his part spoke of a burning desire to explore a number of areas of collaboration between the two institutions, including vocational and technical education, curriculum development, research and vocational rehabilitation.
Also speaking at the occasion, Dean of the College of Management at UW-Stout, Abel Adekola, who regretted that “we have not done enough with Africa, observed that there was the need to get back to the era in the 1980s when there was a large Nigerian student population at UW-Stout.
He identified an opportunity to collaborate with LAUTECH on leadership development and online education.
