EKSU New Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele receives hand over notes


The New Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Samuel Oye Bandele has pledged to lift the institution to an enviable status among Universities not only in Nigeria but in Africa.

He made the pledge at the formal handing over of Instruments of Office by the erstwhile Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Patrick Oladipo Aina to him inside the Vice-Chancellor’s office on Tuesday, 1st December, 2015.

Professor Bandele further pledged to run an open-administration making the welfare of staff of the University among his priorities. He, however, advised members of the management and the entire University community to be ready to move with the speed of the new administration in uplifting the University.

According to him, “We have a lot of work to do and everybody must cooperate in achieving positive results”.

He commended the former Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Oladipo Aina for his immense contribution to the University and wished him well in his future endeavour. Earlier, the former Vice-Chancellor had presented hand over notes and keys to the Vice-Chancellor’s Office as well as a Bible to Professor Bandele. Professor Aina further prayed for his
successor for God’s guidance and a successful tenure.

All the principal Officers of the University were at the occasion and took turns to pour encomiums on the former Vice-chancellor and pledged their loyalty to the new Vice-Chancellor.
