PTAD VALIDATION EXERCISE FOR NEXT-OF-KIN (NOKs) VERIFIED UNDER THE PARASTATALS PENSIONERS VERIFICATION EXERCISE (PPVE) PHASE 1 (EXTENSION)

The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD), an agency created by the Federal Government of Nigeria under the Pension Reform Act 2014, to manage and administer pensions under the Death Benefit Scheme (DBS), invites all Next-of-Kin (NOKs) verified by the Pension Commission (PENCOM) between 2008 and 2012 during the Parastatals Pensioners Verification Exercise (PPVE) Phase 1 and the general public to note as follows

F PTAD is extending the validation of all Next-of-Kin (NOKs) verified by the National Pension Commission (PENCOM) between 2008 and 2012 under the Parastatals Pensioners Verification Exercise (Phase1)
F The initial exercise took place in the six (6) geo-political zones of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from Thursday, February 18 to Saturday, February 20, 2016 to validate the information obtained during the verification exercise to enable payment of the NOKs without hindrance.
F For benefit of NOKs who were, for one reason or another, unable to come forward for this crucial exercise at any of the six geo-political zones, PTAD is providing another opportunity for their biodata and bank details to be updated and validated.
F  For the purpose , the Abuja centre will be opened from Wednesday, March 2 to Friday, March 4, 2016.
F PenCom verified Next-of-Kin (NOKs) are to come along with all necessary documents including the original and photocopies of the following documents;
1.         PENCOM Verification Slip
2.         Valid and proper means of identification
3.         Bank Account Number (NUBAN)
4.         Bank Verification Number
5.         1 Colour Passport Photograph
Ø  For verified Next-of-Kin (NOKs) who are now deceased, the following documents are additionally required from the new NOK:
a.    Death Certificate of the deceased from a government recognized hospital.
b.    Letter of Administration
Ø  Where two NOKs were registered as beneficiaries, both of them would be present for the validation.

       The extension of the validation exercise will be from Wednesday, March 2 to Friday, March 4, 2016      
        from 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m. daily at the Association of Retired Police Officers (APRON) Guest House,    
        No. 7, O.P. Fingesi Street, off Obafemi Awolowo Way, Utako District, Abuja.
