NYSC Members to build state of the art Toilets in EKSU

The Vice-Chancellor, Ekiti State University, Prof. Samuel Oye Bandele has said that Nigeria’s bright future lies in the hands of the Youths.  He made the declaration during the foundation laying ceremony of 4-room modern toilets being constructed by Youth Corps Members in the University.
The Vice-Chancellor represented by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Professor Ibiyinka Ogunlade who was impressed by the architectural design of the toilets, said: “I am no longer afraid for the future of this country as there is light at the end of the tunnel, since our children are able to impact the society through projects such as this”
The Vice-Chancellor promised to support the project as it is in conformity with his vision of developing the University.
Earlier, the leader of the NYSC members serving in Ekiti State University, Mr. Anselem Okezie said that the construction of the toilets was part of the Community Development Service in line with the National Youth Service Corps programme set goals.
According to him “it is also an effort to lend support to the Vice-Chancellor’s vision of making the university great”.
Mr. Okezie stressed that NYSC members would continue to contribute effectively to the development of the University.  The NYSC leader commended the Vice-Chancellor for the wonderful work he had embarked upon since his assumption of office. 
Several officers of the University witnessed the occasion.  They included Deputy Registrar, Information and Corporate Affairs, Ajibade Olubunmi, Co-ordinator, Works and Services, Mr. S. O. Adetula and Co-ordinator, Physical Planning, Mr. Anthony Abulefon.
